How much zeolite should I add to the soil?

Zeolite is a valuable and effective component of greenhouse soils and soil substrates. Zeolite fertilizer ameliorant is a natural soil improver that allows you not only to add necessary nutrients to the reserve, but also significantly improves the agrochemical characteristics and fertility of the soil. ZEOLITE is a natural mineral with unique properties that promote plant growth and active flowering. Zeolite acts as a long-acting fertilizer, where, due to such portions, the roots of the plant do not burn, unlike ordinary soil, if it is overfilled with fertilizers. Zeolite contains potassium, calcium, magnesium, boron, zinc, manganese, molybdenum, silicon in a form accessible to the plant. Porous, moisture-absorbing, sterile – provides ventilation of the root system and a supply of the required amount of water without waterlogging the plant roots. Natural ZEOLITE copes well with the role of a soil improver and mineral fertilizer, both in the production cultivation of agricultural crops and in the cultivation of seedlings and plants, including coniferous trees, shrubs, vegetables, flowers, medicinal herbs, and lawns in garden plots.

  • Thanks to its unique properties, chemical and mineralogical composition, ZEOLITE is a multicomponent biomineral fertilizer and soil improver.
  • Contains potassium, calcium, magnesium, boron, zinc, manganese, molybdenum, silicon in a form accessible to the plant.
  • Accumulates and retains moisture, microelements and fertilizers with subsequent release as needed to plants, due to the adsorption properties, high ion exchange capacity and selective ability of zeolite;
  • Absorbs from the soil and neutralizes heavy metals and excess nitrates;
  • Optimizes water-air and nutritional regimes;
  • Prevents the development of mold and mildew;
  • Serves as an indicator of soil moisture when applied on top of the soil;
  • The use of ZEOLITE allows you to increase the amount of vitamin C and improve the amino acid composition of fruits and vegetables. In the biochemical composition of fruits, the level of total sugar and dry matter will increase, acidity and the amount of nitrate nitrogen will decrease.

Advantages of NATURAL ZEOLITE:

1. Physical properties – non-caking, flowability, hygroscopicity, non-flammability;

2. High sorption capacity due to the developed system of channels and pores, high ion exchange capacity (up to 160 mg-ekv / per 100 g of Zeolite)

3. Environmentally friendly non-toxic mineral;

4. Convenient for storage, transportation, and application to the soil. It can be applied together with mineral or organic fertilizers, both before planting and during the growing season.

ZEOLITE – for preparing seeds and planting material.

– A highly effective technique is to dust the tubers before planting them in the ground. Two hours before planting in the ground, carefully prepared tubers must be dusted (pollinated) with ZEOLITE at the rate of 200 grams of product per 20 kg of potatoes. The potatoes prepared in this way are left for two hours and then planted in the ground as usual. There is no need to shake off the excess “powder” remaining on the tubers. In this case, the process of applying Sokirnite (Zeolite) to potatoes can be done manually, directly in nets or on scattered potatoes, as well as using a manual pollinator (OPM).

– In order for vegetable seeds to be evenly distributed over the soil surface, they are mixed with ZEOLITE and then sown into the soil. You can sprinkle a thin layer of ZEOLITE on already sown seeds, which will have a beneficial effect on their resistance to mold and root rot, and will also protect them from waterlogging and drying out. Sprinkle the seeds “powdered” in this way with a thin layer of fertile soil.

– ZEOLITE can also be used for seed germination. To do this, a thin layer of ZEOLITE is poured onto a damp cloth and seeds are laid out on this “pad” for germination. This technique will protect young seedlings from “growing” into the fibers of the fabric, as well as from waterlogging and drying out.

– When planting seedlings of vegetable and berry crops, it is very good to sprinkle the roots of the plants with ZEOLITE. With this simple technique, you will reliably protect the delicate roots from the inevitable stress when planting in the ground, as well as from drying out and waterlogging, in addition, you will enrich them with an initial supply of nutrients.

– When planting fruit trees with an open root system, it is also very good to sprinkle the roots generously with ZEOLITE, which will ensure their good survival in new conditions, provide the plant with sufficient moisture for growth and development, and also strengthen their immunity.

ZEOLITE – for preparing soil nutrient and mulch mixtures.

– Houseplants. Place some of the Zeolite in your flower pots. Mix black soil with approximately 25% Zeolite. You will be amazed by your plants. Zeolite absorbs water, acts as an aerator and natural fertilizer, saving money and water, and the amount of watering and fertilizer.

– Application of ZEOLITE for orchids. This substrate can be used either in its pure form or in mixtures with traditional substrate components (for example, pine bark, coconut substrate, moss). ZEOLITE for orchids improves air exchange and regulates humidity in the root zone of plants, preventing orchid roots from rotting. Unlike traditional substrates, ZEOLITE for orchids does not compact over time and does not compress the roots of the plant. This substrate can be used in closed systems for growing orchids.

– Tree planting. Don’t forget to apply some Zeolite to the soil when planting the tree. When you plant a new tree, always be generous with Zeolite. A new tree planted in soil with approximately 25% Zeolite will grow almost twice as fast. If the tree is planted in a special container, place 2,5 cm of Zeolite at the bottom and around the tree in the holes before planting and water generously. Zeolite absorbs water, acts as a soil aerator and natural fertilizer.

– Planting a lawn. Just throw it on the ground. If you are planting a new lawn, mix approximately 10% Zeolite into your soil before you plant the grass or seedlings. Zeolite is an aerator, fertilizer and water absorbent all in one. You will be amazed at how long the grass will stay green, lush and healthy all season long. The money you spend on Zeolite will save you on water costs. If you don’t have time for all this or already have a lawn, then just spread the Zeolite on the surface of the lawn and let it work itself.

– Gardens. Don’t forget to use Zeolite in your garden. Zeolite is excellent for this. Zeolite’s water absorption capacity is amazing. Zeolite absorbs water up to 70% of its weight, retains moisture in the soil, which does not become dirty, sticky and wet. Use up to 25% Zeolite in your soil. On existing flowerbeds, sprinkle the surface of the flowerbed with a 1 cm thick layer of Zeolite and mix with a rake or hoe.

– Zeolite, saturated with manure, when applied to the soil, will become a complex fertilizer for a long period of time, the effective effect of which can manifest itself for up to 10 years, depending on the characteristics of the soil and the characteristics of farming.

Recipes of nutritional mixtures:

1. 1 part ZEOLITE + 1 part peat + 1 part humus – this mixture is indispensable when planting seedlings.

2. 1 part ZEOLITE + 2 parts humus + 1 part soil (can be sod-podzolic) + 2 parts peat – this mixture is indispensable when creating lawns, flower beds, planting fruit and coniferous trees, and shrubs.

3. 1 part ZEOLITE + 2 parts peat. – an indispensable mixture for mulching plants.

For good nutrition and good results:

  • alternate treatments with chelates with watering with NPK nutrient complexes.
  • Also alternate mineral fertilizers with organic biofertilizers.

NOTE: ZEOLITE contains biomineral substrate “BIOABSOLUTE” for plants 0.5 l. There are small fractions of zeolite, which during storage and transportation grind together and create a dusty mass – we assure you that this is not garbage, and we carefully sift the component before packaging it in bags.

Composition: 100% natural ZEOLITE fraction 2-5 mm.

Hazard class: 4 (not dangerous)

Storage conditions: store in a dry, cool place.

Zeolite perfectly serves as a soil improver. It acts as a soil fertilizer before planting various seedlings and plants.

ZEOLITE IN AGRICULTURE.

1.SOIL IMPROPERER AND FERTILIZER.

Zeolite perfectly serves as a soil improver. It acts as a soil fertilizer before planting various seedlings and plants, including ornamental, coniferous, fruit trees and bushes, vegetables, grain crops, flowers, indoor plants, medicinal herbs and other plants, lawns, as well as in the preparation of substrates and mixtures land, both for open ground and for greenhouses.

Benefits of Zeolite: good physical properties – non-caking, flowability, hygroscopicity, high adsorption capacity due to the developed system of channels and pores, high ion exchange capacity (up to 160 mg-ekv / per 100 g of Zeolite); absorbs ammonium ions and nutrients well; environmentally friendly material; Convenient for storage, transportation, and application to the soil. It can be applied together with mineral or organic fertilizers. Good results are achieved by mixing Zeolite with sapropel, peat, etc.

The effectiveness of using Zeolite perfectly aerates the soil, promotes the development of the root system and the growth of the entire plant; holds a sufficient amount of water in the root zone – 40-70% of its weight, works as a storage reservoir for fertilizers – nitrate, phosphates, potassium, nutrients, the most important components for plant health and growth. Zeolite traps fertilizer in its branched structure until plant roots find it. Nitrogen retained in Zeolite is insoluble in water and is not washed out by rain for a long period of time. Zeolite saves fertilizer. Less fertilizers, especially nitrogen fertilizers, are washed into groundwater. It improves the absorption of fertilizers by 20-40%. Without the use of Zeolite, about 35% of nitrogen is washed out from the root zone and enters the groundwater of the soil and pollutes it with nitrates and nitrites.

2. INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY OF AGRICULTURAL CROPS.

The use of Zeolite can give positive results in almost all types of soils and, according to some data, can increase the yield of many agricultural crops by 10-30% – potatoes, barley, winter wheat, clover, corn, etc. After applying Zeolite, increased yields can be observed 3- 4 years or more. According to some researchers, even 7 years after adding zeolite to the soil, its adsorption and cation exchange functions did not change. In crop production, Zeolite is extremely useful for stimulating crop yields. When adding Zeolite to substrates in organic mineral mixtures of the earth, the quality of the soil in most of its indicators will improve. In light soils, their water capacity will increase. When applied together with fertilizers, it will absorb part of the fertilizers into its pores and channels and keep it from being washed out into groundwater and evaporation into the atmosphere, and then gradually, as necessary, give them to plants and thus reduce the rate of fertilizer consumption, reduce the amount of nitrates in vegetables and fruits, groundwater pollution.

The use of Zeolite will increase the amount of vitamin C and improve the amino acid composition of fruits and vegetables. In the biochemical composition of fruits, the level of total sugar and dry matter will increase, the acidity of the tomato and the amount of nitrate nitrogen will decrease. It will have a positive effect on the yield of tomatoes, cucumbers, and radishes. Experience in growing seedlings using zeolite has shown that the germination of seeds of hyacinths, carnations, tulips and other flowers improves, and the growth of all plant systems is accelerated. Using Zeolite reduces the need for frequent watering and saves water costs.
Application: for grain crops, 5-20 tons of Zeolite per hectare should be added, for growing vegetables 10-22 kg per square meter, for growing ornamental plants 10-30 kg per square meter.

3. PREPARATION OF GREENHOUSE SOILS AND SOIL SUBSTRATES.

Zeolite in soil preparation for greenhouse farming and home gardens will give excellent positive results – it will aerate the soil, promote the development of the root system, plant growth, retain a sufficient amount of water in the root zone, it will act as a reservoir for storing fertilizers and moisture – the most important components for health plants and increasing yields and productivity.

Zeolite’s ability to adsorb chemical compounds, heavy metals, radionuclides, and organics determines its use for chemical reclamation, detoxification of contaminated soils and neutralization of radioactive contamination. In such cases, Zeolite application rates can be increased to 40-60 tons per hectare. Depending on the level and nature of contamination in each individual case, it is necessary to determine the rate of introduction of Zeolite

4.CHEMICAL RECLAMATION OF CONTAMINATED SOILS.

In such cases, Zeolite application rates can be increased to 40-60 tons per hectare. Depending on the level and nature of contamination in each individual case, it is necessary to determine the rate of administration of Zeolite.

5. PREPARATION AND CARE OF GOLF COURSE LAWS.

The characteristics of Zeolite will help prevent soil compaction, increase filtration and aeration of deep plant root systems and retain sufficient water – up to 40-70% of its own weight. Since dry Zeolite is pale green and wet Zeolite has a darker shade, it visually blends in with lawns, green golf courses and looks nice.

Application – In the construction of new green golf courses and lawns, 10 to 20% of the soil is replaced with an equal volume of Zeolite. It must be applied to a depth of 5-15 cm. To reconstruct the turf, renew, and improve the health of the lawn, up to 150 kg of Zeolite per 100 square meters is used. meters. To increase soil aeration, 30-75 kg per 100 m2, or 3000-7500 kg per hectare, is used. For the treatment of existing lawns and their fertilization, 15-30 kg per 100 m2, or 1500-3000 kg per hectare, is used.

6. PREPARATION AND CARE OF SPORTS GRAVES AND GROUNDS.
