How to clean carnelian from negativity?
In order to clean the mineral, ordinary Rock salt is often used.
It is believed that its small crystals absorb all the negative energy from the stone.
Rock or Sea salt for cleaning stone
Stone are minerals from the ancient sea, ground, purified and packaged in boxes.
Marine is salt purified from impurities, evaporated from the water of modern seas. There is an opinion that it is better to use sea salt for this purpose. However, there are also opponents to this method. At first: Sea salt contains different chemical salts than Rock salt.
Secondly: Manufacturers often add a large number of additional micro- and macroelements to it, as well as anti-caking agents, which can enter into various chemical reactions with minerals that are uncontrollable by me. And we are talking about a food product. We are not talking about hygiene products or bath products at all. Using them to clean stone is dangerous for minerals (for the same reason). Therefore, many people prefer a simple and clear way – non-iodized rock salt. Ordinary Stone contains practically no foreign impurities and, when placing it in a saucer, you can be as sure as possible that it is sodium chloride and there is nothing else there. Therefore, the stones are not in danger during and after such cleaning. If sea salt is still preferred for cleaning, then you should very read the ingredients carefully on the product packaging to ensure it does not contain hazardous contaminants that could harm minerals.
Large or small
It is preferable to choose coarsely ground packs, because in this way you can get the maximum size of sodium chloride crystals, which work more efficiently than powdered salt dust. However, salt is salt. So, if for some reason there is no coarse salt in the store, you can use fine “Extra” salt. But the effect will be less pronounced and you will have to hold it longer, and bury it deeper.
Methods for cleaning stone with salt
There are several ways to clean stone with this product.
Immersing the stone directly into the container
This method of cleaning stones and minerals uses completely dry stones, which are immersed in a container filled to the brim with salt. The stones are completely buried. It is recommended to leave the minerals in this form at least overnight, but the optimal cleaning time is considered to be 1-3 days.
Contactless stone cleaning
This method involves gentle and careful cleaning of minerals. To do this, you need to prepare a large container in which the stones will be cleaned, a certain amount of napkins or paper towels and table coarse rock salt. IMPORTANT: Minerals to be cleaned with this product must be completely dry to prevent the absorption of moisture and the onset of a chemical reaction between the mineral and sodium chloride. Next, dry stones must be wrapped in a cloth, napkin or paper towel and placed in a container so that the package is completely covered with salt crystals. The stones are left in this form for 1-3 days, after which they are removed and carefully removed from the napkin. After such cleaning, the stones shine with a bright color, and you can see with the naked eye the difference between how the stone looked before cleaning and what it looked like after it.
Cleaning stones with salt
Sometimes you can resort to this method of purifying a mineral, when the pebbles simply rest for several days on a saucer of salt. There are several ways to lay out minerals: first – again involves the direct placement of the mineral on the surface of salt crystals with direct contact;
and the second – where there is no direct contact with salt. To do this, place a napkin or piece of fabric in the container, on which minerals are placed on top. In this case, the fabric is like a spacer, a barrier between the aggressive environment of sodium chloride and the mineral, but is not an obstacle to the interaction between them. As you can see, there are many ways to clean stones with salt alone, and you can choose any of them that seems as close and understandable as possible. However, there are many more methods for energetically cleansing a stone from negative energy. There are methods of cleansing on a friend of Rock Crystal or Amethyst, cleaning with earth, water, sound, candle, etc. But this is a topic for separate articles. And, of course, it is necessary to say at least a couple of lines about how often such cleansing sessions should be carried out.
How often to clean the stone
You need to clean the stones with salt as they become dirty. At least once a month, if the stone is used regularly. It is ideal to clean the stone after each wearing or use session. However, this is a matter of taste and sensations for everyone who interacts with the mineral.
For some, it is enough to clean the stone once every six months. Some people have never cleaned stones at all and still wear them to this day. And, as they say – “And nothing!” And someone every evening, taking off their jewelry, places it on a saucer with salt and under running water for 20 minutes. It’s all a matter of taste, habits and something else. How often do you clean stones?! There are many ways how to clean stones and minerals at home. To begin with, you should decide that cleaning stones can be: Physical – when the stone became dirty from sweat, grease, received salt stains and cloudy spots;
Energy – when the mineral has absorbed a lot of negative energy and needs to be cleansed. This article presents the basic methods for cleaning stones at home. Natural stones can be cleaned of negativity in the following ways:
1. Water; 2. Earth; 3. Fire; 4. Herbs; 5. Sound; | 6. Salt; 7. Minerals; 8. Shungite cleaning; 9. Sun; 10. Moon, etc. |
Typically, these methods both cleanse the stone and charge it.
Cleaning with Water
There are at least three ways to clean stones with water. They are described in detail on THIS page. *The most commonly used cleaning method is at home under running water. It is important to use water at room temperature and avoid sudden changes in water temperature. Due to sudden changes in temperature, stones can split or become covered with small cracks. For the cleaning procedure, you should hold the mineral for 15-20 minutes under running water. Then blot, dry and put the minerals back in their storage place.
Earth
Wrap a piece of rock in a cotton napkin and bury it in the garden (not in a flower pot and not in a flower garden under a high-rise building – only clean soil, maybe in a country house or in a private house). Leave a mark where you buried it. After 5-7 days, dig up, rinse and use.
Purification by Fire
Place the jewelry or druse on a metal saucer (Take precautions when interacting with an open source of fire) and place a lit candle nearby. Leave it to burn. You can move the candle counterclockwise around the saucer of minerals. After the candle burns out, carefully remove the remaining melting and put the jewelry in the box.
Herbs
A bunch of dried herb Wormwood or St. John’s wort is suitable for this purpose. When working with dried herbs, you should also follow safety precautions. Fumigate a piece of Crystal jewelry or druse with smoke from smoldering grass. Then put it in a box or box for storage.
Cleaning stones with sound
Place crystal jewelry and rock pieces next to you and play the singing bowl. Sound vibrations will perfectly clean stones.
Cleaning stones with salt
Wrap jewelry or rock pieces in a bag and bury them in salt overnight. In the morning you can take it out, rinse with water, blot until completely dry and put it in a box for storage. If the decoration is heavily soiled, you can soak it in salt for 3-5 days.
Minerals
You can place the decoration on a pyramid made of another mineral, Zeolite, or on a druse of Crystal or Amethyst.
Shungite cleaning
First, decorations and pieces of stones are placed on a saucer with pieces of Shungite rock for cleaning. And then onto the Crystal friend for charging. Instead of Shungite, you can use Hematite.
Sun Cleansing
The decoration or pieces of rock are left in an open area where sunlight reaches, but are slightly shaded. So that the mineral is not exposed to direct sunlight. This is especially true in summer, when the sun can heat the mineral very strongly. Stop the direct rays of the sun from damaging the Crystal.
Cleansing by the Moon
Leave the decoration and pieces of rock overnight so that moonlight falls on them.
Physical cleaning of stone
Since the nature of the mineral’s origin is different in each case, it would be wrong to give one general advice for everyone on how to clean stones. The nature of the stones is different; they have different hardness levels and other characteristics that distinguish them from one another. Let’s look at the options in separate different articles, how to clean stone at home: Each Mineral has its own method and each Jewelry with it has its own method.
