necessary to progress in the game. They are usually turned into ingots in a furnace, after which they can be used to create tools, weapons, armor and other items. Some items, like bricks and potions, require raw Ores. Raw ores can also be used as simple building blocks.

Ores are usually found in small clusters of blocks on the surface, in the underground layer and below. Mined with a pickaxe or drill. Ores can sometimes be found on floating islands. Some ores are dropped by bosses, namely Eye of Cthulhu, Eater of Worlds, Brain of Cthulhu, Okram, and Moonlord.

The Washing Machine and Wooden Crates (obtained by fishing) can also give Ore as a random reward.

The world contains only one type of ore of each level, which is chosen randomly; one world may have copper and iron ores, and another world may have copper and lead ores (see tables below). Alternative ore types that do not generate naturally in the world can still be obtained through other means, such as crates, additional items, and loot from the Flushing Machine. Hardmode ore types are randomized once the player destroys the Altar.

Metal ore in Palworld is used to make ingots for crafting and construction. Here are some great places where players can farm metal ore.

Home

  • Crafting in Palworld requires resources such as wood, stone, and fiber, but as players progress, more hard-to-find resources such as ingots become necessary.
  • Ingots are created by mining metal ore from scattered veins and using a furnace to smelt them. Since metal ore is quite difficult to find, it is important to find veins of metal ore while adventuring or build a base around them in an area where they are abundant.
  • There are several locations in Palworld where players can find clusters of metal ore, such as Autumn Glade, Ice Mountain, Seawind Archipelago, Dilapidated Church, and so on.

Despite the nickname “Pokémon with guns”, crafting for Pal world is just as important as the mechanics of collecting monsters. Palworld has several resources that are needed, such as wood, stone, and fiber. However, as players progress through the game and level up, crafting requires resources that are harder to obtain, and one of the most common of these resources is ingots.

Ingots are created by mining metal ore from veins scattered throughout the world and placing them in a furnace back at base. However, unlike resources such as stone and wood, metal ore and ingots are not easily obtained from the base, but they largely determine how quickly the player progresses in the game. In their adventures, players have to rely on finding metal ore nodes or, better yet, a few locations that they can visit regularly or even build a base around.

8. West of the Small Settlement (6, -528)

Clearing full of metal ore

While traveling through the Windy Hills, players will encounter a beautiful area of the map with autumn leaves on the trees. This is a great place for a base not only because of the scenery. If players travel to coordinates 6, -528, they will come across a clearing with eight veins of metal ore. It’s easy to get to and is a great place to mine metal ore early in the game.

This clearing may be full of veins of metal ore, but it is not large enough for the base to be level. Luckily, there is another clearing just above where players can build a two-level base with well-placed stairs. The location is also great for defense as it is surrounded by rocks and limits enemy attack directions. This is an ideal place as a base for farming metal ore.

7. Ice Mountain South (192, -37)

One of the best base locations for mining

Ice Mountain can be dangerous for players who are still trying to level up, but it’s worth wandering closer to it to discover one of the best locations in the game, where many players can build a base dedicated to mining. Not only does it have some bombing views, but it is also located high enough that players don’t have to worry too much about their base being attacked.

This location can be found at coordinates 192, -37, east of the Guardian’s Abode and west of the Lightning Abode. Situated at the top of a peak, this location is home to eight metal ore nodes, as well as six coal nodes, which is an added bonus. The fast travel point is located just to the west.

6. East of Small Bay (123, -544)

Metal Ore in Seawind Archipelago

Seawind Archipelago is located to the west of players’ normal starting area, but there are still low-level fires here, making it easy to mine metal ore even early in the game. However, newbies should do their best to avoid the level 31 Alpha Univolt lurking in the area.

While there is no concentrated cluster of metal ore veins in one specific location, players can find up to eight ore nodes scattered throughout the area.

5. West of the Bastion Ruins (155, -390)

Ore cluster near Alpha Chillet

Most players will encounter Alpha Chilleth fairly early in the game. At level 11, this is no longer too difficult and gets easier as the player and their pals get stronger. This makes Alpha Chillet a decent farming option for Ancient Civilization Parts, but there is also a cluster of metal ore nodes nearby.

North of Alpha Chilleth’s spawn location, players only need to cross a bridge to find eight veins of metal ore. Once the Bastion Ruins fast travel point to the east is unlocked, it will only take a few seconds to fly up and mine the metal ore.

4. Old church (70, -404)

Nine ore nodes near the fast travel point

The red and gray colors on the map make this place look like a volcano, but the region hides a very lucrative metal ore mining location and is fairly easy to reach early in the game.

Players will naturally head towards the magnificent yet ominous ruins of an old church, standing out on the landscape like a scene from Elden Ring. And they will find here a cluster of nine nodes of metal ore. Since the fast travel point is so close and there are so many nodes, this is a great place to keep in mind for mining these minerals.

3. West of Hypocrite Hill (92, -259)

A green meadow full of mining opportunities

With the likes of Robinquill and others roaming around between levels 16 and 20, as well as a few armed enemies lurking behind the trees, this is a slightly more challenging area for newbies. However, confident players can still pay attention to this area quite early in their game if they are prepared.

A few minutes away from the Hypocrite Hill fast travel point is an area with a huge cluster of metal ore nodes, which would also make a great place for a base. Players will immediately notice up to nine metal ore nodes clustered together, as well as another one lying just down the hill and around the corner, bringing the total to ten.

2. East of Hermit Falls (-250, -454)

Ore accumulation near the enemy camp

Once players start exploring the world a little more and move further away from their starting position, this is a great mining location to keep in mind. However, players are advised to have a flying mount and a decent weapon with them before attempting mining in this location.

It only takes a few seconds to fly from the fast travel point Hermit Falls to this location. Here players can find six nodes of metal ore that can be mined, although it is worth clearing out the poacher enemies in the nearby enemy camp first, as well as any aggressive fellas.

1. West of Prospector’s Fork (-258, -212)

Steep slope rich in metal ore veins

Ore nodes are scattered throughout the deserted areas of Palworld, although players can usually only find one or two nodes at a time. However, just south of the desert area in Bamboo Grove Gulch there is an excellent cluster of ten nodes.

High on a hill overlooking the desert lies a large cluster of nine veins of metal ore, with another further down the slope. Unfortunately, the slope is too steep to be used as a base location. However, there is a clearing not far from the hillside that would be an ideal location for your outpost.
