Mineral Review

Why infuse water with shungite?

Nature is a valuable source of useful minerals that effectively combat the problems of negative environmental influences and solve medicinal and aesthetic problems. Many plants contain beneficial microelements that are used in cosmetics. The list of minerals with rich healing properties that are used in cosmetology has been supplemented by shungite.

Why has shungite earned such great fame?

Shungite is a rock, a special type of coal in the transition stage from anthracite to graphite. It consists of 90-98% carbon, and also contains silicon, aluminum, iron, magnesium, potassium, sulfur – in total more than twenty macro- and microelements. Such a rich composition, as well as the molecular structure, determine the beneficial properties of this mineral. In the 90s of the twentieth century, scientists discovered that shungite is a previously unknown form of carbon. Its crystal lattice is based on two types of carbon: finely dispersed carbon in the form of crystals and hollow spherical ions, or fullerenes. Fullerenes are an excellent adsorbent; they are able to absorb harmful substances from the environment, and also work as a carrier of useful elements placed inside their sphere. The property of shungite to purify water has been known for more than three hundred years! A mineral immersed in water removes mechanical impurities, heavy metal salts, spores, bacteria, harmful microorganisms, as well as unpleasant odors and tastes. To summarize, we can say that shungite is an excellent natural antiseptic and antioxidant. It is these properties that are used to prepare shungite water. And the ability to effectively combine with any substance has found special application in pharmaceuticals and cosmetology. To prepare shungite water, use ordinary water, into which shungite stones or crushed stones are placed and infused for three days. During this time, the mineral manages to neutralize harmful impurities and particles contained in the water, as well as enrich it with useful elements. The peculiarity of shungite is that when it interacts with water, only elements useful for the body enter it from the rock. Shungite copes with the task of water purification 30 times better than activated carbon, a well-known household and industrial adsorbent!

Properties of shungite water that have found application in cosmetology

· Being a powerful antiseptic, shungite water relieves itching and inflammation, fights bacteria, and treats skin injuries – wounds, cuts, burns. · Acts as an antioxidant – neutralizes free radicals, the cause of premature aging. The line, created specifically for men, matches all the characteristics of men’s skin. And there was also a place for shungite water here – they are enriched with it: • ultra-gel for shaving and massage Blade Runner, • soothing cream-gel Stress fighter (for skin prone to hypersensitivity), • energy cleansing lotion Peeling&energy (for all skin types). People saw antibiotics and supersonic flights, and myths that do not have any scientific background, continue to exist and dissolve. We will also try to add a little healthy water to the daily purification of drinking water, and also explain that people now use shungite stones for infused water.

What is shungite water?

In simple words, shungite water is the water that was infused with the shungite mineral for 3-5 days. To understand that this mineral can be produced from water, let’s take a look at its warehouse. Shungite is a natural mineral that was created in the Precambrian period (more than 541 million years ago). Behind the warehouse and authorities this mineral is similar to anthracite and graphite. There are different types of shungita in black, dark gray and brown colors. Shungite is a product of dead growths, algae, remains of living organisms on the bottom of fresh water. These sieges gradually strengthened under their forces, and sank lower and lower into the depths of the earth. Under the influence of pressure and temperature, there was a transformation, which resulted in the inclusion of amorphous carbon in mineral rocks. Pure mineral rarely occurs in nature, especially in thin layers (up to 30 cm) in other rocks. It is found in shale rocks and dolomites. All origins of this mineral are located mainly in the territory of Russia (Karelia) and Kazakhstan.

Shungite and shungite water warehouse

Investigations into the shungite warehouse were carried out more than once. On average, mineral warehouses and inorganic materials occupy about 65-70%. Here we provide an analysis table for the components of shungite for water. To investigate this problem, spectral, atomic absorption and other analyzes would require complex equipment and techniques. For this purpose, the output shungite is fried at a temperature of 800 °C to remove flammable carbon particles from it, and then stored in a warehouse. This means that other components, although they do not burn, may undergo changes when fried, for example, they pass from hydroxides and salts to oxides. Potentially, both minor and non-mineral components may be present in the storage of the output shungite. As you can see, this table contains a wide range of important metals. Most of these substances are in an intact form and will not be visible in the water, and the concentrations of others are so insignificant that they cannot cause harm.

Suspension of shungite for water purification

Detailed shungizite (fried shungite) has high resistance to abrasion, chemical resistance and does not create secondary water contamination, which allows the material to become rusty in the presence of mechanical filters trіv for water. Due to the shortness of the surface and low porosity, it has catalytic and sorption power. Varto means that the material does not exhibit the same unique powers or special selectivity of any speech. For mechanical filtration, various materials can be used, for example, quartz sand and clinoptilolite, which are found in the Transcarpathian region. As for the sorption powers of shungite, they are also not significant: the active use of vugilla is determined by the availability of organic compounds that are more effective, zeolites (zocrem clinoptilolite), before speech, as well. The power of shungite with other materials is equal. Pit surface area, m 2 /g Ukraine, USA, African countries, China As for the indicators of the acidity of purified water, we will send the data sent to the tracking department. The ion exchange and sorption power of shungite does not allow it to effectively soften tap water. When water is sampled with an output hardness of 9,2 mmol/l, no significant changes in water are observed, although the original clay will ensure a decrease in the reading to 6,2 mmol/l, which is an acceptable standard for drinking water. Let’s look at the sorption power of shungite. The smell is added to the water, but in combination with traditional active coals, which are used for sorption purification of water, are not sufficiently effective. There is no complete monitoring of the working sorption capacity and practical installations for water sorption, as well as complete monitoring of household filters or soaking. Please note that sorption activity sharply decreases with mineral mineralization above 300 mg/l. Significant efficiency can be avoided by a hundred percent reduction instead of salivation and manganese, which is due to the obvious presence of a short structure and, apparently, catalytic powers. In our time, mechanical purification of water with shungite is carried out at water treatment stations in Karelia, as well as cartridges for drinking water are removed, which easily reduce the color and turbidity of water.

Why is shungite so popular?

In this case, everything is very simple. The supply of this mineral is limited to the territory of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan. Development is carried out only in the Russian Federation. The real sphere of stagnation of shungites is metallurgical galuz and everyday life. The first investigations of this material were carried out in 1928 – 1937, in the pre-war period. Then they figured out about shungite even after the war and began to explore the sphere of stagnation, victorious in purified water. The effectiveness of this method has recently been demonstrated, as it is important to reduce the flow, color and turbulence of water. Varto means that in equal parts of the active vugillas, which were used in the post-war rocks in Russia, the material is effectively similar in power, and the process of its production is cheaper. In the rest of the thirty years from now, it is difficult to decorate, crystals and an attraction for filtering water. In today’s world, shungite water is a product of marketing inspired by myths about medicinal power, which is supported by nothing but fairy tales about charm.

Shungite water: crustiness and harm

As you have read this far, you have already realized that we will not describe the powerful power of shungite water. I would like to highlight just one important point. The process of standing (this is how shungite water is prepared) is transferred, poured into a container, sealed with a stone and pressed 3-5 dib. So it is important to note that while the water is standing, especially in the warm season, microorganisms can multiply in it, making it unsafe. For these reasons, it is strictly protected and frozen for inhalation. Shungite water for facials, baths and soaking, as you might guess, is not effective. We honestly tried to find out the miracles of power in scientometric databases and tell you about them. But we didn’t find any evidence that would encourage us to believe in the power of shungite and shungite water.
